Cultural Administration at Telemark University College in Bø.

The purpose of this programme is to give students an understanding of the role of the arts and cultural activity in society. The programme concentrates on the development of culture in a historical context.

Cultural Administration provides professional training. The programme is especially designed for those interested in working in the public sector. It is also suited to those interested in cultural administration in arts institutions (e.g. museums) and non-profit organisations (e.g. children or youth groups) among others. The programme can also be taken in conjunction with other fields of study, either to strengthen competence for those wishing to work in the above-named areas, or for those intending to work in related fields (e.g. education, library science, journalism and public relations).

The programme is interdisciplinary and combines the humanities with social sciences and business administration.
